Advanced Acoustics 15" x 30" Wedge PRO Acoustic Studio Foam Tile Kit

What's In The Box?

The 30"x15" Wedge PRO Acoustic Tile Kit is an instantly recognisable acoustic treatment product used widely amongst studios.  It is a highly effective studio tile, offering a large surface area and is a classic design.  Included in each kit are 36 acoustic foam tiles.  The individual tiles are 762mm (30") by 381mm (15").  Each kit covers a total area of 10.44qm (112.5sqft).  The 30"x15" Wedge PRO Acoustic Tiles are 75mm thick.  We also offer a 'Standard' version with 40mm thick tiles if a thinner version is required.  The Wedge Acoustic Tiles are made using precise CNC machinery in our UK facility to ensure a perfect tile every time.  All of our products are shipped out completely uncompressed and are ready to be installed as soon as they are received.  This range of tiles comes with the option of Mid Grey or Dark Grey in colour.

What Are The Benefits?

The wedge profile is the most popular design of profile used for professional and home studios, vocal booths, cinema rooms and more.  This classic cut of profile is clean and consistent and makes installation simple.  Performance is up there too thanks to the large surface area from the extreme slopes.

By installing small clusters of these acoustic tiles in a random orientation around the room at first reflection points or at other key areas you will increase acoustic clarity and remove unwanted distortion.  These acoustic studio foam tiles work hard at controlling mid to high frequencies to help remove echo and control reverberation.  These tiles can also be mixed with our other 30" Studio Foam Tiles to create a unique design.

Care is taken in optimising size, profile, foam cell structure and foam density to present a product that offers high visual and acoustic value.  Durability is high on our list of priorities too, we manufacture a foam that won't crumble and turn to dust and won't change colour as soon as you've mounted them to the wall or ceiling. The bottom line is that the Wedge PRO Acoustic Studio Foam Tiles will assist both you and your room in working to it's full potential.

    Performance Data

Wedge PRO Acoustic Tile Performance Data

Installing our acoustic foam tiles is very simple. The first step to take is to work out your preferred layout of acoustic tiles. Do a sketch on paper first to make sure that the layout looks right and you have enough acoustic foam and space for your planned design. It is best to have small to medium sized clusters of acoustic foam tiles evenly distributed as opposed to one huge cluster of tiles in the middle of a wall.

Once the acoustic tiles are mounted to the wall or ceiling they are hard to remove so it is important to get the layout right before you begin. Once you have a sketch of the layout you plan you can then mark up the wall with the layout. You can either use pencil, masking tape or lasers to layout the design on the wall or ceiling.

When mounting the acoustic tiles to the wall apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. There is no need to heavily cover the acoustic foam or wall with adhesive, a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile along with 50% - 75% coverage of the rest of the tile will be fine. Use the same equivalent amount on the wall. Avoid overspray on the tile and the wall so that adhesive can’t be seen when the tiles are in place. Masking Tape on the wall will help with this. If you do get webbing overspray on the tile, don’t touch it, allow it to dry, in most cases you will be able to peel the adhesive off.

The adhesive we supply is solvent based so we recommend that you keep all doors of the room and any windows open whilst completing the installation.

If you prefer to have a more temporary installation of acoustic tiles you can mount the tiles onto 6mm MDF or ply to create panels of acoustic tiles. These panels can then be hung on the wall using a D-Ring and picture hook for a damage free installation. If fitting them to a ceiling then 4 mirror plates would be required.
