What Are The Benefits?
These Drum Isolation Platforms work by de-coupling your drum kit from the floor. This is turn reduces the amount of vibration passing through the floor when striking the drum. This then will reduce the impact noise that is heard in the floor below and rooms next door.
The vibration absorbing foam is a high load bearing foam and is designed to be stable when a drum kit and its operator is sat in it. The vibration absorbing strips sit under a the Vibration Dampening Boards which are supplied with the kit to de-couple the drum kit from the rest of the room.
Care is taken in optimising size, profile, foam cell structure and foam density to present a product that offers high visual and acoustic value. Durability is high on our list of priorities too, we manufacture a foam that won't crumble and turn to dust and won't change colour as soon as you set it in the room.
The bottom line is that the Drum Isolation Kit will assist both you and your room in working to it's full potential.

We would recommend that you begin by laying the boards out on the floor upside down and pushing all the boards together to make up the overall size of the platform. Be careful not to damage any of the tongues. Next lay the platform strips in place on the boards making sure that the 2.4m edges of the platform and the edge of the strips are flush. The strips should be placed so that they are 100mm wide and 50mm tall. The strips may be slightly long but they can be compressed to fit the board it required. Once you have laid all the strips out and they are evenly distributed you can now glue the strips to the boards using our contact adhesive (not supplied). Because of the rigid nature of the boards it does not matter that the strips don’t land on the board joints.
Once all the strips are glued in place you can now separate the boards and flip them over so that the platform is strip side down, board side up. Take note of the order in which they go back together so that you maintain the even gaps of strips. You can now glue the boards together using PU adhesive (not supplied) ensuring the boards are tightly fitted and correctly aligned so that there are no gaps. The PU adhesive will bubble and expand, this is fine. Once the glue is fully hardened you can trim the excess glue back. The platform is now ready to use. If you wish you can fit carpet on top of the platform or our Silent Floor Ultra for that extra level of impact noise reduction, followed by carpet.
