10kg Mass Loaded Vinyl Soundproofing Mat - 1.2m x 2m, 5mm Thick

Our 10kg Mass Loaded Vinyl Soundproofing Mat is a high-density acoustic barrier designed to help reduce airborne noise through walls, floors and ceilings. It is a practical option where you need to add more mass to a structure as part of an effective soundproofing system.

This mineral-loaded vinyl membrane helps reduce sound transfer by adding density to the build-up. It is commonly used within stud walls, timber floors and ceiling systems, and is well suited to projects where stronger sound-blocking performance is needed.

Best For

  • Stud wall soundproofing
  • Timber floor soundproofing
  • Ceiling soundproofing
  • Adding significant mass within a layered build-up
  • Reducing airborne noise as part of a full soundproofing system

Why Choose This 10kg Soundproofing Mat?

  • Higher mass for stronger sound blocking where the build-up allows for it
  • Suitable for walls, floors and ceilings
  • Ideal for system builds in stud partitions and timber structures
  • Useful where improved sound reduction is needed as part of a layered construction
  • Made using recycled content without compromising density or performance

How It Is Commonly Used

This product is typically installed as part of a full soundproofing build-up rather than used on its own. It is commonly fitted between layers of plasterboard in wall and ceiling systems, or used within timber floor constructions where additional mass is required.

If you are building a full wall, floor or ceiling system, use the Calculator Tab at the top of this page to help identify the right setup.

Important Buying Guidance

This product is best suited to customers who want to add substantial mass to a structure to help reduce airborne noise. It is not a complete soundproofing system by itself, so overall performance will depend on the surrounding construction and the materials used alongside it.
