LIMITED EDITION - Advanced Acoustics 6" x 12" Subway Acoustic Studio Foam Tile Pack

What's In The Box?

Our Limited Edition White Subway Acoustic Tiles are only produced in limited runs.  You will not see another acoustic studio foam tile like it.  Plus with such limited runs it's unlikely you'll ever see another studio using this product.  If you want a set-up that is completely unique, one of a kind, this is the product to use.  Included in each box are 24 individual white melamine acoustic foam tiles.  The tiles are sized 150mm (6") by 300mm (12") and are 50mm (2") thick.  The tiles have a slight bevel cut on all 4 sides to create a Subway style tile albeit with the ideal thickness you need to keep your studio acoustics under control.  With an area coverage of 1.11sqm (12sqft) per pack and an NRC of 0.88 it won't take many packs to treat an average sized control room or production suite.  This product doesn't become available very often so if it's a product you like the look of it's best to snap them up while you can.

What Are The Benefits?

The design of the Subway Acoustic Treatment Tile is right on point with the current design trend.  These acoustic foam tiles are designed to look like the subway tiles you find in so many interior designs.  The beauty of these tiles is that there are many variants with how you can arrange tiles.  You can lay them out in herringbone, brick-bond, ashlar, monolithic and parquet to name just a few.

Once course it's not just the style and look that is important but it is performance too.  And you can be sure these acoustic tiles won't disappoint in terms of performance.  With a overall thickness of 50mm these acoustic tiles have an NRC of 0.88.

Once you have installed these acoustic tiles you will gain greater control of your space.  Recordings will be cleaner and better defined.  Playback of recordings will be crisp and clear.  Get that pro sound you have been looking for by installing effective acoustic tiles from Advanced Acoustics.

Installing our acoustic foam tiles is very simple. The first step to take is to work out your preferred layout of acoustic tiles. Do a sketch on paper first to make sure that the layout looks right and you have enough acoustic foam and space for your planned design. It is best to have small to medium sized clusters of acoustic foam tiles evenly distributed as opposed to one huge cluster of tiles in the middle of a wall.

Once the acoustic tiles are mounted to the wall or ceiling they are hard to remove so it is important to get the layout right before you begin. Once you have a sketch of the layout you plan you can then mark up the wall with the layout. You can either use pencil, masking tape or lasers to layout the design on the wall or ceiling.

When mounting the acoustic tiles to the wall apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. There is no need to heavily cover the acoustic foam or wall with adhesive, a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile along with 50% - 75% coverage of the rest of the tile will be fine. Use the same equivalent amount on the wall. Avoid overspray on the tile and the wall so that adhesive can’t be seen when the tiles are in place. Masking Tape on the wall will help with this. If you do get webbing overspray on the tile, don’t touch it, allow it to dry, in most cases you will be able to peel the adhesive off.

The adhesive we supply is solvent based so we recommend that you keep all doors of the room and any windows open whilst completing the installation.

If you prefer to have a more temporary installation of acoustic tiles you can mount the tiles onto 6mm MDF or ply to create panels of acoustic tiles. These panels can then be hung on the wall using a D-Ring and picture hook for a damage free installation. If fitting them to a ceiling then 4 mirror plates would be required.
