Rytons 9x9 Cowled Acoustic AirLiner Set with Hit & Miss Ventilator
Are you struggling to maintain effective ventilation in noisy environments while ensuring sound insulation and weather protection?
Standard ventilation solutions often fail to provide adequate noise reduction and protection against harsh weather, compromising the comfort and integrity of your space.
Introducing the Rytons 9x9 Cowled Acoustic AirLiner Set with Hit & Miss Ventilator, a telescopic cavity liner set designed for optimal ventilation and sound reduction. Ideal for noisy areas, this system reduces noise infiltration by up to 41 dB and features an external cowl to shield against adverse weather conditions, ensuring a quieter and more comfortable environment.
Product Details:
- Superior Noise Reduction: Reduces sound by 40 dB with the internal grille fully open and 41 dB when closed, tested by BRE Acoustics.

Questions & Answers:
- Will installing more than one vent to achieve a greater free area have an effect on the acoustic performance? We asked the BRE who said "The performance of the ventilator will not degrade when you put in more of them. The composite sound insulation performance of the facade will degrade if you increase the number of ventilators, assuming that they are one of the weaker links."
- Will the vent reduce sound from inside to outside as well as from outside to inside? The BRE has advised us that it's reasonable to assume that 'reciprocity' applies to the vents. That is, the third octave values for sound reduction index are the same in both directions (out to in and in to out).
