Advanced Acoustics 15" x 30" Wedge Acoustic Studio Foam Tile Pack

Introducing our 15"x30" Wedge Acoustic Tile Packs, the go-to solution for achieving exceptional acoustic treatment in your studio. These packs contain 12 highly effective studio foam tiles with a classic wedge design, instantly recognizable in professional and home studios, vocal booths, cinema rooms, and more. With an NRC of 0.6, these tiles offer outstanding performance, allowing you to create a space with optimal sound clarity and reduced unwanted distortion.  With a coverage of 3.48sqm per pack these acoustic tiles are cost effective means of gaining acoustic control over your studio.

The wedge profile of these tiles is not only visually appealing but also serves a vital purpose. By strategically placing small clusters of these acoustic treatment tiles at first reflection points and key areas, you'll experience improved acoustic clarity and a significant reduction in echo and reverberation. These sound-deadening tiles excel at controlling mid to high frequencies, ensuring a focused sound environment that enhances your recordings and mixing sessions. For added creativity, these tiles can be mixed with our other 15" Studio Foam Tiles, such as the Tegular Acoustic Tiles to create a truly unique and personalized design.

Take the first step towards perfecting your studio's acoustics with our intuitive 'Coverage Calculator' Tab, designed to calculate the optimal amount of treatment for your space.

At Advanced Acoustics, we prioritize the optimization of size, profile, foam cell structure, and foam density, ensuring that our products offer both exceptional acoustic performance and visual appeal. Performance Data

Wedge Standard Acoustic Tile Performance Data

Installing our acoustic foam tiles is very simple. The first step to take is to work out your preferred layout of acoustic tiles. Do a sketch on paper first to make sure that the layout looks right and you have enough acoustic foam and space for your planned design. It is best to have small to medium sized clusters of acoustic foam tiles evenly distributed as opposed to one huge cluster of tiles in the middle of a wall.

Once the acoustic tiles are mounted to the wall or ceiling they are hard to remove so it is important to get the layout right before you begin. Once you have a sketch of the layout you plan you can then mark up the wall with the layout. You can either use pencil, masking tape or lasers to layout the design on the wall or ceiling.

When mounting the acoustic tiles to the wall apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. There is no need to heavily cover the acoustic foam or wall with adhesive, a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile along with 50% - 75% coverage of the rest of the tile will be fine. Use the same equivalent amount on the wall. Avoid overspray on the tile and the wall so that adhesive can’t be seen when the tiles are in place. Masking Tape on the wall will help with this. If you do get webbing overspray on the tile, don’t touch it, allow it to dry, in most cases you will be able to peel the adhesive off.

The adhesive we supply is solvent based so we recommend that you keep all doors of the room and any windows open whilst completing the installation.

If you prefer to have a more temporary installation of acoustic tiles you can mount the tiles onto 6mm MDF or ply to create panels of acoustic tiles. These panels can then be hung on the wall using a D-Ring and picture hook for a damage free installation. If fitting them to a ceiling then 4 mirror plates would be required.
