Enhance Your Acoustic Experience with the 12" Sawtooth Acoustic Tile Pack

Precision Meets Performance:

Step into the future of acoustic design with our 12" x 12" Sawtooth Acoustic Studio Foam Tile Pack. Inspired by the ever-popular Wedge Acoustic Tile, these innovative tiles bring a fresh, sharp, and dynamic profile to your space. Crafted with precision on state-of-the-art CNC machines in our UK production facility, each pack contains 24 acoustic tiles that measure 305mm (12") by 305mm (12") covering an area of 2.23sqm (24sqft). With a peak thickness of 40mm, these tiles offer both stunning aesthetics and exceptional acoustic performance.

As with all our acoustic foam products, the Sawtooth Acoustic Tile arrives uncompressed and ready for easy installation on your studio's walls or ceiling. Choose from two classic colours, Mid Grey or Dark Grey, or combine both to create a truly unique setup.

Unveiling the Benefits:

The Sawtooth Acoustic Tile's design and profile are as sharp and clean as the audio recordings you'll achieve in your studio. By strategically placing clusters of these acoustic tiles in random orientations, especially at first reflection points and other key areas, you'll elevate acoustic clarity while banishing unwanted distortion.

These studio foam tiles excel in taming mid to high frequencies, eradicating echo and managing reverberation with precision. Mix and match them with our other 12" Studio Foam Tiles, such as the 12" Tegular Acoustic Foam Tile, to create your unique design. We meticulously optimize size, profile, foam cell structure, and density to ensure a product that not only enhances acoustics but also looks visually striking.

At Advanced Acoustics, durability is paramount. We produce foam that won't crumble, won't turn to dust, and won't change colour prematurely once mounted on your walls or ceiling. In essence, the Sawtooth Acoustic Studio Foam Tiles are your solution to maximizing your studio's full potential.

Installing our acoustic foam tiles is very simple. The first step to take is to work out your preferred layout of acoustic tiles. Do a sketch on paper first to make sure that the layout looks right and you have enough acoustic foam and space for your planned design. It is best to have small to medium sized clusters of acoustic foam tiles evenly distributed as opposed to one huge cluster of tiles in the middle of a wall.

Once the acoustic tiles are mounted to the wall or ceiling they are hard to remove so it is important to get the layout right before you begin. Once you have a sketch of the layout you plan you can then mark up the wall with the layout. You can either use pencil, masking tape or lasers to layout the design on the wall or ceiling.

When mounting the acoustic tiles to the wall apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. There is no need to heavily cover the acoustic foam or wall with adhesive, a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile along with 50% - 75% coverage of the rest of the tile will be fine. Use the same equivalent amount on the wall. Avoid overspray on the tile and the wall so that adhesive can’t be seen when the tiles are in place. Masking Tape on the wall will help with this. If you do get webbing overspray on the tile, don’t touch it, allow it to dry, in most cases you will be able to peel the adhesive off.

The adhesive we supply is solvent based so we recommend that you keep all doors of the room and any windows open whilst completing the installation.

If you prefer to have a more temporary installation of acoustic tiles you can mount the tiles onto 6mm MDF or ply to create panels of acoustic tiles. These panels can then be hung on the wall using a D-Ring and picture hook for a damage free installation. If fitting them to a ceiling then 4 mirror plates would be required.

good quality - dense material nicely machined

Bought for my sons bedroom - for that Youtube look!!

.. and it looks great - he's really happy with it.

As far as sound dampening is concerned, I can't comment except from experience in that the feel and weight of material is similar to that of some anechoic chambers I've been in so I've no doubt it will kill higher frequency reflections.
