Cloud9 60cm Wall Mounted Designer Acoustic Panel | 600mm diameter | NRC 0.75 | Class C

The Advanced Acoustics Cloud9 60cm Wall Mounted Designer Acoustic Panel is a circular acoustic panel from the Advanced Acoustics Designer Range. The circular format provides a soft, organic contrast to rectangular wall surfaces and rectilinear interior schemes, and is designed to be used as a standalone accent panel or in multi-size clusters combining the 60cm, 80cm, and 100cm Cloud9 formats. The panel consists of a 25mm open-cell acoustic foam core mounted on a rigid 6mm MDF backing board, wrapped in a 100% recycled open-weave polyester cloth available in 31 colours.

The Cloud9 60cm has a diameter of 600mm, providing 0.28m² of absorption per panel. The compact circular format is the most versatile in the Cloud9 range, suited to accent placements, smaller wall areas, and mixed-size cluster arrangements where the 60cm panel fills gaps between larger formats. The 25mm foam core achieves NRC 0.75 (Sound Absorption Class C), providing effective absorption of mid and high frequencies appropriate for controlling speech-frequency reverberation in office and commercial environments.

Applications

  • Mixed-size Cloud9 cluster arrangements. The 60cm panel is designed to be combined with the 80cm and 100cm Cloud9 formats in composed cluster arrangements across a wall surface. The smaller diameter fills the spaces between larger panels in organic, asymmetric compositions, creating a varied and visually dynamic installation. The total absorption coverage of the cluster increases with the number and size of panels included.
  • Accent placements in smaller wall areas. The compact 600mm diameter makes the 60cm Cloud9 suited to smaller wall sections, alcoves, and areas between windows or doors where a larger circular format would not fit. A single panel or small cluster of 60cm panels can provide targeted absorption in areas where full-wall treatment is not practical.
  • Open-plan offices — reverberation and echo control. Install on walls to reduce reverberation time and improve speech intelligibility. The circular format adds visual interest to the acoustic installation, integrating naturally into contemporary office interiors where standard rectangular panel grids are considered too utilitarian.
  • Meeting rooms and breakout spaces. The 60cm format is suited to meeting rooms and breakout spaces where a small number of panels can provide meaningful absorption without dominating the wall surface. The circular profile and wide colour range allow the panels to complement the interior specification of the room.
  • Hospitality and commercial interiors. The Cloud9's circular format and soft profile make it suited to hospitality environments — restaurants, bars, and hotel lobbies — where acoustic treatment is required alongside a designed interior finish.

Product Benefits

  • NRC 0.75 — effective mid and high frequency absorption. The 25mm foam core achieves NRC 0.75 (Sound Absorption Class C), with strong absorption from 500Hz upward: 0.65 at 500Hz, 0.94 at 1000Hz, 1.13 at 2000Hz, and 0.99 at 4000Hz. This frequency profile makes the Cloud9 effective for controlling speech-frequency reverberation in office and commercial environments. Low-frequency absorption is more limited (0.30 at 250Hz).
  • Class '0' fire-rated construction — compliant for commercial use. The acoustic foam core is Class '0' rated to BS 476 Parts 6 and 7, and C s1, d0 to EN 13501-1, meeting commercial fire safety requirements for wall-mounted acoustic treatment in offices, schools, and public buildings.
  • 100% recycled open-weave polyester cloth — 31 colour options. The open-weave polyester cloth is produced from 100% recycled fibre, maintaining full acoustic transparency while providing a durable, abrasion-resistant surface finish. Available in 31 colours — download the swatch card for the full range.
  • Mirror plate fixing — discreet and secure. Supplied with mirror plate fixing hardware for a flush, secure wall mount. The discreet fixing method keeps the panel face clean and uninterrupted, maintaining the visual integrity of the circular profile.
  • 60cm diameter — most compact Cloud9 format, suited to accent and mixed-size installations. At 600mm diameter and 0.28m² per panel, the 60cm is the smallest and most versatile format in the Cloud9 range, suited to accent placements and as a fill panel in mixed-size cluster arrangements with the 80cm and 100cm formats.
  • Handmade in the UK — consistent quality across every panel. All Designer Range panels are handmade in the Advanced Acoustics UK facility using consistent materials and construction methods, ensuring uniform acoustic performance and finish quality across every panel in an installation.

Please note: All Designer Range panels are made to order with a 2–3 week lead time.

Installation

Mark the fixing position on the wall using the panel diameter as a guide. Ensure fixing positions are located on solid wall structure or appropriate noggins — do not fix into plasterboard alone without appropriate cavity fixings.

For mirror plate fixing: screw the mirror plate to the wall at the marked position using appropriate fixings for the wall construction, and hang the panel on the mirror plate. Check that the panel is level before finalising the fixing position.

For cluster arrangements combining multiple Cloud9 sizes, plan the composition on paper or digitally before marking fixing positions on the wall. Use a tape measure to set out the centre points of each panel accurately before drilling.

How Many Panels Do You Need?

Our Office Acoustic Panels are very easy to install. They are supplied with mirror plates in order for you to mount the acoustic panels to the wall or ceiling. The only thing that isn’t supplied are the screws and plugs. The correct fixing method depends on whether you are fixing to plasterboard, brick or concrete. Check with an experienced tradesman if you aren’t sure what fixing method is best. The acoustic panels are relatively light so you will only need to use 30mm long screws to mount the panels with.

Sometimes the panels are shipped with the mirror plates facing inwards to protect them during shipping. Before attempting to mount the panels you may need to turn the plates around so that the mounting hole is exposed.

Offer up the panel in the location where you wish to fit it. Mark the wall with a pencil where the fixings need to go. Drill the holes with a suitable drill bit and insert the plugs. Offer up the panel again and fix into place with your choice of screws. Repeat until all panels are fitted.

If the panels are intended to be butted up to each other you may need to relocate the mirror plates so that they don’t foul on each other. If you are fitting the panels in rows install the bottom row of panels first and sit the next row of panels on top. In this case slide the next panel in place. Any mirror plates that will be covered by the row below can just sit between the panel and the mounting surface. Use all the remaining mirror plates that you have access to to mount the panel in place.
