Decoupling systems — for the highest level of wall sound isolation, the MuteClip clip and channel system creates a fully independent wall frame, eliminating direct structural contact between the plasterboard and the existing wall. Resilient Bar is the entry-level single-part alternative for standard domestic stud wall applications.

Mass Loaded Vinyl — 5kg/m² and 10kg/m² MLV adds mass to wall assemblies to improve airborne sound reduction. Used within stud wall build-ups, bonded directly to masonry, or as a free-hanging barrier between rooms.

Acoustic plasterboard — Knauf Soundshield Plus (12.5mm and 15mm) is used as the finish layer in wall assemblies, adding mass to improve airborne sound reduction. Can be used in single or double layer configurations.

Installation materials — AC95 Acoustic Sealant and PVC Jointing Tape are required in all wall assemblies to seal perimeter gaps, joints, and penetrations. Flanking paths at wall-floor and wall-ceiling junctions are the most common cause of underperformance.
