Floor Soundproofing Products

Resilient matting and underlays — UpRoll, SilentCork3, and SilentMat16 form the resilient layer in floor assemblies, absorbing impact energy before it transmits through the structure. Choice of product depends on floor type (concrete or timber), finish floor (LVT, laminate, carpet), and performance requirement.

Acoustic floorboards — STS TG4 acoustic floorboards are used as the walking surface in floating floor systems over UpRoll resilient matting on concrete separating floors.

Mass Loaded Vinyl — 5kg/m² and 10kg/m² MLV adds mass to floor assemblies to improve airborne sound reduction. Used within timber floor build-ups or as a free-hanging barrier.

Installation materials — Green Glue Joist Tape, PVC Jointing Tape, AC95 Acoustic Sealant, and High Strength Contact Adhesive are required components in most floor assemblies. Unsealed joints and flanking paths are the most common cause of underperformance.

Vibration isolation — Anti-Vibration Isolation Pads for isolating domestic appliances and gym equipment from the floor structure.
