Advanced Acoustics Tegular Acoustic Tile Kit

Here we present our Tegular Acoustic Foam Tile, a versatile solution designed to enhance the acoustic performance of your studio. This simple, yet effective tile is perfect for mixing with other profiled tiles or the same tiles of different thicknesses. By incorporating the Tegular Acoustic Tile, you can create captivating variations or a visually striking checkerboard effect. The possibilities are endless, whether used individually or in combination with other tiles.

Each box contains 24 individual acoustic foam tiles, measuring 381mm (15") by 381mm (15"). With a total coverage of 3.48sqm (37.5sqft), these tiles offer exceptional sound absorption capabilities to ensure a balanced rate of absorption across frequencies.  There are three thicknesses on offer 50mm, 75mm and 100mm.   We also offer a Tegular Kit containing 8 of each thickness.  Each version of tile covers the same area of 3.48sqm.  The Tegular Acoustic Foam Tiles are available in your choice of Mid Grey or Dark Grey, allowing you to seamlessly integrate them into your studio's aesthetic. You can get to work right away installing these tiles as they will arrive completely uncompressed and ready for installation.

Discover the optimal amount of acoustic treatment for your studio by utilizing our convenient 'Coverage Calculator' Tab.

Don't underestimate the effectiveness of our Tegular Acoustic Tiles. By strategically installing small clusters of these tiles at first reflection points and other key areas in your room, you can significantly improve acoustic clarity and eliminate unwanted distortion. Layering the tiles can further enhance mid and lower frequency absorption, resulting in a precisely balanced acoustic environment and a professional look.

These acoustic studio foam tiles excel at controlling mid to high frequencies, effectively reducing echo and controlling reverberation. When combined with our other 15" Studio Foam Tiles, such as the 15" Wedge Acoustic Tiles, they offer even more design possibilities to create a unique and tailored acoustic space. We meticulously optimize the size, profile, foam cell structure, and foam density to deliver a product that offers both exceptional visual appeal and acoustic performance.

At Advanced Acoustics, durability is a top priority. We manufacture our foam to withstand the test of time without crumbling, turning to dust, or changing colour once mounted on walls or ceilings. We are committed to providing you with a product that helps you and your room reach their full potential.

Choose our Tegular Acoustic Studio Foam Tiles and experience the benefits:

Installing our acoustic foam tiles is very simple. The first step to take is to work out your preferred layout of acoustic tiles. Do a sketch on paper first to make sure that the layout looks right and you have enough acoustic foam and space for your planned design. It is best to have small to medium sized clusters of acoustic foam tiles evenly distributed as opposed to one huge cluster of tiles in the middle of a wall.

Once the acoustic tiles are mounted to the wall or ceiling they are hard to remove so it is important to get the layout right before you begin. Once you have a sketch of the layout you plan you can then mark up the wall with the layout. You can either use pencil, masking tape or lasers to layout the design on the wall or ceiling.

When mounting the acoustic tiles to the wall apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. There is no need to heavily cover the acoustic foam or wall with adhesive, a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile along with 50% - 75% coverage of the rest of the tile will be fine. Use the same equivalent amount on the wall. Avoid overspray on the tile and the wall so that adhesive can’t be seen when the tiles are in place. Masking Tape on the wall will help with this. If you do get webbing overspray on the tile, don’t touch it, allow it to dry, in most cases you will be able to peel the adhesive off.

The adhesive we supply is solvent based so we recommend that you keep all doors of the room and any windows open whilst completing the installation.

If you prefer to have a more temporary installation of acoustic tiles you can mount the tiles onto 6mm MDF or ply to create panels of acoustic tiles. These panels can then be hung on the wall using a D-Ring and picture hook for a damage free installation. If fitting them to a ceiling then 4 mirror plates would be required.
